Size and structure of the adult social care sector and workforce in England, 2020

Skills for Care report providing the most up-to-date and comprehensive overview of all the latest workforce figures for the adult social care sector. The report shows that the number of people working in adult social care in England has increased again to 1.52 million workers carrying out 1.65 million jobs which are spread over 18,200 organisations and 38,000 establishments.

Workforce Development Fund 2020-21

The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) is open to adult social care employers in England to support the development of their staff at all levels, offering funding for a wide range of qualifications, learning programmes and digital learning modules. The fund is distributed by Skills for Care on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.
